Susan Leah Jehowski

Susan Leah Jehowski, 56 passed away at her home in Chandler, Arizona on Tuesday, May 8, 2017 after an 11-year courageous battle with cancer. She was the beloved wife of Todd Jehowski and mother to Chloe Jehowski.

Susan was born in Portland, Oregon on April 18, 1961 and grew up in both Portland and Eugene, Oregon. She is the daughter of Mabel Lou and the late Stanley Stambaugh. Susan worked at Jacobson Elementary school in Chandler, Arizona for the last 12 years, which she truly loved and where she developed countless friendships. Susan was an active member of Compass Christian Church, where she loved being part of the Sunday greeting ministry and volunteering at the Bridge working with teens. She dedicated eight years to leading a Girl Scout troop in both Colorado Springs and Chandler. In her spare time, she enjoyed crafts, crossword puzzles, reading, movies and spending time with her family.

Other than her husband, Todd, daughter Chloe and mother, Mabel Lou, Susan leaves behind her sister Teri Anyan; brothers Tim Stambaugh (Kathi), Mike Stambaugh (Lisa) and Dan Stambaugh (Susan); numerous nieces and nephews; and her beloved cat, Kevin. A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday May, 20 at Compass Christian Church’s The Bridge Phase II, 824 West Germann Rd., Chandler, Arizona with a reception to follow. Memorials may be made in Susan’s name to Hospice of the Valley, 2020 East Woodside Ct., Gilbert, AZ 85297.
