The poet T.S. Elliot said April is the cruelest month, but we all know it’s January.
Let us count the reasons why:
• It’s cold. And lately, really cold, with double-digits-below-zero temperatures. After several fairly mild winters, a regular Montana winter is upon us with a vengeance. It’s only early January, but we’ve all had enough.
• It’s dark. The sun grumpily rises and is quick to set. Many Christmas lights have come down, making it even darker.
