A Gardiner volleyball player received a volleyball scholarship at Williston State College in North Dakota, after playing on the Bruins varsity team for the past four years.
Senior P.J. Thomas received the scholarship for $2,500 per year to cover school expenses like books.
Thomas has played on the team since her freshman year, but she began her interest in volleyball in the sixth grade.
“I have always had height problems, so I have always wanted to prove to people that I can play in the front,” Thomas said.
