Park High School has released its first-quarter honor roll. To be named to the honor roll, students must have earned a 3.0 grade point average or higher and have five letter grades. Students who earned a 4.0 are shown with an asterisk next to their names.
Park High School student Michael Kant has been selected to represent PHS as a National Youth Delegate at the 2016 Washington Youth Summit on the Environment at George Mason University.
Kant joins a select group of 250 students from across the country to participate in an intensive week-long study of leadership in environmental science and conservation. Kant was chosen based on academic accomplishments, and a demonstrated interest and excellence in leadership in the sciences and conservation studies.
Natalia Boise, a 2013 graduate of Park High School in Livingston, recently won a Montana German Heritage Scholarship from the University of Montana’s Department of Modern and Classical Languages and Literatures. The scholarship is worth $900.
Boise is a junior majoring in German and anthropology at UM. Her parents are Steven and Lauren Boise of Livingston.
You might have seen him floating down the Yellowstone River guiding anglers through the currents, but now Park County residents can see another side of Callan Wink — as an author of a new collection of short stories, “Dog Run Moon.”
“Dog Run Moon” will be released Feb. 9 and Wink, 31, hopes it will entertain readers with its tales, the majority of which are set in the West in Montana and Wyoming.
Livingston’s Sleeping Giant Middle School has listed more students for its second quarter honor roll who were missed in the orginal release. Students must have at least a 3.0 grade point average to be listed.
Sixth grade — Trystin Butts, Molly Cunningham, Riley Eastman, Ember Landreth, Shelby Marsh, Joshua Morales and Adriana Tecca.
Hannah Renae George, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James George, of Wilsall, was named to the dean’s list of Pensacola Christian College in Pensacola, Florida, for academic achievement during the 2015 fall semester. To qualify for the list she had to earn a B average or higher.
